eatout.co.zw … an invite to you

I read an article here on how eatout.co.zw a popular restuarant guide in Zimbabwe found it hard to find local developers to develop his website. In fact, the story goes on to mention how the founder Joseph Bunga had to learn php and a bit of some web development lessons to launch his website.

However, I stand to challenge him that there are developers in Zimbabwe who are capable, designers who know what they are capable of doing.

I challenge not only him but other fellow Zimbabweans who are willing to give Zimbabweans a chance to attend and sponsor the Coderthon Code Competition and see if there is no such talent in Zimbabwe.

Mr Joseph Bunga, maybe before you out source to India, how about giving the talented designers in Zimbabwe a chance to prove themselves, you may be shocked

Imagine World Cup.. Zimbabwe not there

Imagine a technological world cup and Zimbabwe is represented? Imagine no more!

TheImagine World Cup is a platform where student innovators are challenged to solve the world problems using technology.

The challenge is in it’s tenth year running and to my dismay, no Zimbabwean student has ever taken part in the event.

My hope is for Zimbabwe to be represented at the prestigious event and through this website and events such as this here, I hope this will be a reality soon.

Take your time and read the truly innovative ideas at this event.

The event caters to people who use Microsoft Technologies as it is sponsored by Microsoft.
